In last game between the Jacksonville Jaguars and Houston Texans, Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair delivered a brutal hit on Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence, leading to Al-Shaair’s ejection and Lawrence being immobilized on the field. The hit, described as the “dirtiest play” of the season, occurred when Lawrence was sliding to avoid contact after scrambling for a first down. Al-Shaair charged in and hit Lawrence with a vicious blow, slamming his head to the ground.
Lawrence’s teammates rushed to defend him, and a brawl broke out. Lawrence later posted on X, reassuring fans that he was okay and thankful for their support. Fans called for strong action against Al-Shaair, with many saying he should be suspended for the rest of the season, noting this wasn’t the first time he had made a dangerous hit.
