Four staff members at a Spanish nursery have been arrested following shocking allegations of child abuse. A secretly recorded video, filmed by a student intern at the Casanueces nursery in Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid, shows a caregiver violently slamming a toddler against a wall, squeezing his face, and force-feeding him while shouting threats. Another staff member is seen in the background, seemingly unfazed.
Two employees were arrested for the alleged abuse, while two others were detained for failing to report it. All four are currently in custody and expected to appear in court today.
The disturbing footage has sparked outrage among parents. One mother, Nancy, said she hasn’t been able to sleep and now suspects her 18-month-old daughter, who recently lost her appetite, may have been mistreated too.
Local authorities have called for an investigation into the nursery and its staff. The nursery has been shut down, and support is being offered to affected families.
